Tri-Tip Steak

Ingredients

  • 1 tri-tip roast 

  • TL’s All Natural Marinade 

Instructions

  1. Place the tri-tip in a shallow dish or resealable bag and fully coat with TL’s All Natural Marinade. Cover and refrigerate overnight to allow the flavors to fully develop. 

  2. Preheat smoker to 250°F. Remove the tri-tip from the marinade and place on a wire rack. Smoke until the internal temperature reaches 130°F for a medium-rare finish. 

  3. Preheat grill to high heat. Transfer the tri-tip (still on the wire rack, if preferred) and sear until a rich, caramelized crust forms on all sides. 

  4. Remove from heat and allow the meat to rest for approximately 10 minutes to retain juices. 

  5. Slice against the grain and serve immediately.
